Pauline and Pamela are Mr. Jackson's typists in the same office. Yesterday, they had a very busy day. In the morning, Pauline's friend Ron Marston telephoned her four times. The awful boss answered the phone. He was angry and said, "Pauline is typing letters now. She cannot speak to you!" At 6:00 pm, Pauline arrived home. Ron telephoned again, but Pauline did not answer the phone. At 9:00 pm, he did not stop. He telephoned again! So Pauline talked to him like a mother: "This is Pauline's mother. Don't telephone again!" Ron was afraid. He did not telephone her anymore.
