it...that... 主语从句 主语从句 他退休的前一天 将来完成进行时(强调过程)
that 后面句子是完整,用于修饰主语(强调句:把it is .. that 去掉,能组合成一个句子)

devote oneself to… 致力于…,献身于,专心于(to 为介词,后跟名词或动名词)

entirely = completely 完完全全地
