Mr. and Mrs. Frith went to a shop to look for a new television. The husband liked the most expensive model, but the wife thought it was too expensive for them because they could not afford it. The assistant showed them a cheaper model, but Mr. Frith did not like it because it was not as good as the expensive one. He insisted that the better model was worth the money and asked if they could buy it on installments. The assistant agreed and offered a payment plan with a thirty-pound deposit and monthly payments for three years. Although Mrs. Frith loved the television, she complained that her husband always wanted the best things but they were not millionaires.
